Corcovado Park, thanks to its variety of habitats, is home to numerous animal species, more than 150 species of wild animals and mammal species such as tapirs, jaguars, ocelots, coatis and giant anteaters. Costa Rica is mainly home to four species of monkeys such as the howler monkey, the spider monkey, the whelk and finally the squirrel monkey. We also have more than 400 species of birds such as red macaw, parrots, quetzals, toucans, ibis, pelicans, etc. Almost 6,000 species of insects.
